"Lauren Curtis is a spectacular artist. We've dealt with Lauren for many years and are honored to work with someone so creative. Many of her pieces came through our galleries, and she's excellent for custom commissions. Very professional and a pleasure to work with. A+" ~James Castelli from People's Store Antiques & Art Center
I've worked with Lauren on a variety of creative projects, and she's coached me on art and marketing as well. Her level of knowledge and creative abilities keep me coming back to hire her for more artistic needs for my business. She takes pride in her designs and there's high quality in her work. She is easy to work with, quick to respond, and able to handle projects on-time or ahead of schedule. As a teacher, she's equally invested, easy to understand, and extremely helpful in ensuring her students follow through. And her networking abilities are topnotch. ~Wendy Spurlin; Graphic Designer | Social Media Video Editor | Writer & Publisher March 2023

"Like so many journeys that surprise us with more than we expect, they start completely unassuming. Several years ago I saw a print made by my old friend Lauren Curtis. I thought; wow! That would make such a brilliant tee shirt and she made it happen on both a white and black cotton tee shirt. That came out flawlessly and people have commented on them on more occasions than I can count. Not long ago I happened on to one of her websites displaying her art. I had no idea that she was this really formidable multi media artist. As I started looking through her paintings I was completely sucked in. First I know I was responding to her use of rich color in works like” Morgana’s Murder” and “Flora Meets Aradia” and then as I started looking I noticed paintings that resonated for me deeply, like “Solitary Mourner” and “Mourner With Umbrella” and several more. I know art is subjective so I am cautious to not overly define but this work is somehow, even when the subject is central and identifiable, they manage a level of really delicious abstraction that make them easy to become immersed in. Some are, complete moodbaths. The Mourning subjects and compositions manage for me, no stranger to mourning like so many of us, to capture that quiet contemplative isolation that real mourning involves. As I was appraising her body of work I couldn’t help but to be surprised not only of the variety and volume of her art but how some pieces would make a wall, not as a uniform set but with a vibe that was so undeniably cohesive. I was kind of marveling at how they stood alone strongly but also complimented each other. Just one example I will give is how much I would love to have a wall devoted to “Self Portrait” and “George”. As I continued I realized that use of watercolor that some artists make look so easy and natural as they subtly bleed into different shades but you know require deft skill and the outcome is undeniably so pleasing. As is the subtle celebration of female energy and even “Girl Power” like Dragonfly Dream”. Unintentional but leaving you with unexpected emotions and impressions. The same way that her use of multi media; pencil, collage, acrylics all coming together so agreeably. The photography again, is a testament to a rare eye and sensibility. There are examples of recognizable objects but the lens captures them at angles that, as good art often does, offers you an entirely alternative way to see them. This is very much so with the Digital Photo Gallery but also in her other photography as well. There are stunning black and whites of places like “Danube Via Budapest” that can completely and beautifully stand alone or be paired with others like “Amsterdam Night” or “Christ’s Alter, Czech Republic”. The other photography has Cemetaries in New Orleans as well as refreshing and very real slice of life shots in New Orleans. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention nature shots like “Pine Drops” and “Bamboo Abstract”.As I see the accumulation of this body of work I get the gut feeling Ms. Curtis will likely prove a noteworthy artist of our time and place. It’s exciting to witness this level of talent and I know, because of the possibility of prints as well originals I will endeavor to collect her work as I am confident other discerning eyes will as well." ~Mark Romer, Costume Designer on Broadway & Art Collector, NYC, NY
"Over the years I have met countless numbers of fellow artists and can honestly say that Lauren would be up there with the best of them. Her dedication is not only evident in her level of creative skill and imaginative brilliance displayed in her broad range of artistic and illustrative works but also in her dedication for the arts in general. Not only is her art truly imaginative, creative and professional but I've found her to be a very knowledgeable, pleasant and professional person to deal with. I would look to working with Lauren in the future on exhibits/collaborative projects in the future and do strongly advise anyone considering her for any of their artistic and or illustrative needs to not hesitate in doing so. I'm sure Lauren will be able to work with you in conjuring up what it is you need!" ~Shane Ryan Australian Artist
“Lauren contributed one of her illustrations, “It’s Your Day”, as the cover of our “Adventure” issue. The piece was well received by our readers and advertisers, securing her a gallery showing. She was a joy to work with, and we learned that not just the piece but also her spirit exemplifies the theme. We wish her all the best.” Co-Publishers, “Take-Care Connections Magazine” Sheila Cohill & Ken Schneider Take-Care Connections

“Lauren Curtis; The Top Tree Artist! The Highland Park Centennial Commission and the Joyce Kilmer Centennial Commission this June (2004) selected Lauren Curtis to create two large pictures of the original, famous 1904 Kilmer Oak Tree. The two pieces were specifically developed, and added spectrum-sensitive colors to the June 15 (2004) presentation at The George Street Playhouse (New Brunswick, NJ). The audience applauded Ms. Curtis’ artwork as best representing the Joyce Kilmer Magna Carta Day.” Harvey J. Brudner, Ph.D. President, Joyce Kilmer Centennial Commission
"Lauren has a National as well as an international reputation for art and mixed-media, that encapsulates the living elements of nature and the human soul. Her passion has no boundary as she shares her emotion with her audience, with the invitation to see through her eyes. From her brushstrokes to the canvas, a viewer can sense a curious pleasure of privately watching a hummingbird, rhythmically floating as it feeds in a picturesque field of colorful flowers. Or become enveloped in the emotional brooding of a Gothic print: focusing so deeply into areas between the jagged lines of an imagined, black forest, you are a present-day witness, suddenly spirited away as a captured participant in a Poetic tale unfolding on canvas- taking you as deep as your imagination dares. Whether presenting the whimsical and abstract as the common every-day-of-living , or inviting the viewer to a visually mesmerizing exploration of life's dark edges, her world is enticing and immersing. Amazingly Lauren has translated her talent of turning paintbrush, colors and canvas, into an illustrious content of delight, mystery and originality. She continues to grow, as each new presentation becomes another addition in a gifted career." Vern Ray Writer & Professional Leather-craftsman, NJ, USA
“I first met Lauren through my business, Gaia Gal Productions, when she emailed me for a catalog of my creations, back in November 2002. “Coming from Holland and having studied architecture and art history, I am very interested what goes on in the world of art on every level. In this case, Internet was the medium to discover the art of Lauren Curtis and get inot contact with her at the meantime. Slightly I became aware of the rich variety of her work and the fact that everything she creates derives from a personal and unique style. Her attitude to the key issues of life and to the world find expression in her work. I’m not really an art collector, but Lauren gave the opportunity to become one by selling great works for very reasonable prices. I consider her work of too much interest to leave the chance to become one of her first overseas collectors.
Her work touches me deeply. I consider her work as very human, in view of the content and of the personal touch, left as fingerprints on every piece. Her work cuts through the surface of trivial life, it touches emotions and thoughts that are under the skin. Her best works are mysterious, like good modern works of art should question life and contain certain answers that can be found through the interaction of the artwork and the observer. Finally, I think Lauren has the skill and spirit to develop as a full-time artist. She has my support.” Marcel Teunissen, Private Collector The Hague - The Netherlands

"The first thing Caladan Gallery considers when taking on an artist to represent is the quality of artwork, and vision that the individual artist relates to us. We found the work of Lauren Curtis to be aesthetically beautiful, as well as possessing depth and joy; which is very refreshing, and gives the viewer a natural sense of intimacy with the artist. But beyond this, is Lauren's positivity in both her artwork and communication, her appreciation in all things and her wonderful way of pure enjoyment! We are very pleased to exhibit her work." Marjorie Kaye Director, Caladan Gallery, Cambridge, MA

5/5 stars Logo Design I had the pleasure of procuring Ms. Lauren's artistic services to help design my environmental business logo for "In A Green Minute". From my vision she was able to illustrate with color and precision my company objective, which is to show how everyone can care for the environment "in a green minute", i.e.: not littering, walk an extra block rather than drive, etc... The logo turnaround and price was very reasonable. Positive feedback from clients who see the logo has been 100% due to an excellent sense of cradle-to-grave, or her initial comprehension on through to graphic end product, my logo. I would definitely use and/or recommend Ms. Lauren's services again. Gwen Lynn, In A Green Minute Environmental Services, on March 19, 2015

5/5 stars Book Cover Design, Graphic Design Lauren Curtis has been designing my book covers for a couple of years now, and I cannot say enough about her ability to intuit precisely the design that would serve each volume best. I absolutely love each of the covers and get many compliments on them. She's delightful to work with, and her prices are low. I wouldn't think of going to anyone else! And so, when I was in the market for a logo for Vila's Cottage Crafts, guess where I went! Oh, you bet! Got a super logo that I shall be proud to use for the rest of my life. Lauren is the absolute best! I have also bought some of her tee shirts and note cards and have been thrilled with everything I've bought. The tees are top notch--both the art and the fabric. And the cards are gorgeously distinctive. And again, her prices are amazingly low. I cannot recommend her highly enough! Her work is simply amazing!
